Boxes that came with toys
« on: Sunday 02 May 2010, 05:39 pm »
I was looking trough my toy collection, and notice that I have several lose toys that still have the boxes to them. The question is should I keep the boxes that came with the toy, and if I do keep the box how do you store the boxes them selves ? ???

I would definetly keep them. They have so much information about the toys themselves that people like us would love to see. And once the boxes are gone, it might be forever. Who knows if there is another box out there. I would say flatten the boxes (if they are a square/rectangle and simple store them in a bigger box flat at the bottom. Perhaps wrap the boxes in plastic to prevent anything from scratching the picture or water from getting through and damaging them. And if you plan on not displaying the toys from the box then but them in that box as well.

If you really dont want to keep the boxes, then scan and save the pictures. Back, fron, bottom, top of boxes. Post them on here so they will be available for everyone to see years from now. :)

Thanks the only boxes I have are for some of the x-men play sets from the 1990's I am not sure if I should post pictures of them most of the toys here are cute and cuddly . I am not sure if my action figure collection really goes well with this site.  :-[

Sure, go ahead and post it in the "Your Toy Collections" section. I love to see how people display what they collect and variety is the spice of life, as they say. ;)

I had a few toy boxes I was saving, but my mom made me flatten or cut off the pictures of the toys I wanted off of them. Now I have some boxes flatten or cut saved in a large copy paper box.

Keeping Boxes Is A Must For Me. And If Anytime In The Future You Want To Sell Them, Having The Box Is A Big Plus. Like When People Sell Toys On Ebay, Most Of Them That Come With Boxes Or Are Never Removed From Box Are Sold For Much Higher Than Ones That Just Come With The Toy. 8)
