old pink plastic cartoon type figure with hat- looks a bit like a scarecrow

Hi this is my first post to this excellent site- it would be easiest to add a photo of it here if I could work out how. I dont know if its a new toy to GOTD so havent used that section as yet. Should I?
I found it in a friends toy box- we are now 70- we have no idea what it is and would like to as it may jog a memory! We think it must be from 1950's or earlier.
Its approx 6 inches tall. There are no clothes drawn on it, has a pointy hat and a pointy nose.
Very elongated arms and legs. Its made of a very malleable plastic in a germolene pink colour!
