Help needed in identifying a walking robot toy from my childhood!
« on: Tuesday 05 November 2019, 11:24 am »
Hi!
I am trying to identify a toy I had when I was little but my google-fu is coming up short!
It was a battery operated walking robot that stood approximately 8 inches tall and from what I remember required some assembly as it came in a sort of multi-part plastic kit.
My particular robot had shiny black plastic paneling and each hand had three or four claws extending from it (think Wolverine from X-Men). Its head was helmet-like and resembled Megatron's head from the first Micheal Bay Transformers movie (I think).
The arms would move up and down in time with the legs moving back and forward.
The robot was definitely one of a series as i remember there being descriptions on the box of other robots that were available. One of the other robots was named "Killerhertz" or something similar, maybe "Killahertz/Kilohertz" but I remember the name sounding cool!
The toy is likely from the early 1990's.
Thanks to anyone that might be able to shed some light on this toy!

Could your robot have been from the Z Knight series from Tomy?
