little boy doll?????
« on: Wednesday 01 September 2010, 11:49 pm »
Hi

I used to have a little plastic doll.  it was a little boy doll (with little boy parts) it had little wings molded on to its back as though it was some kind of angel doll.  I dont remember it having an clothes - just the fact it was a little boy :)

Anybody have an idea or got a pic?

thanks

Just copy and paste the page or image address and I'll add in the image if you have any problems getting it to work.

Do you mean this doll bu Zapf Creation?:

I have a girl one with pink wings. I did find out what they were called but can't find the information now.  ::)

There are several Sonny Angel dolls including a Crown series, Valentine series, Christmas series, T-Shirt series, Fruit series, Marine series and three Animal series. They were produced by Dreams and I assume they are Japanese. They are also a very recent toy line as far as I can tell.

woooooooooooow how cute are all they.

Well the one i had wasn't part of any collection as far as i can tell.  didn't have a strawberry on its head or anything.  was just nude, and the wings were the same colour as its skin.

thanks for the pics :)

dellie, are you sure it wasn't a plain old kewpie doll? Google "kewpie" and see if it looks like your doll.

ermmmmmmmm  ??? scratches head.  They all look so similar yet so different.  They both look like my doll but it definately had a little boys bits (mum says that why she bought it, coz it was quite rare and not seen anything like it before)

Do Kewpies have boy bits????

I don't think they usually do, but Kewpies have been around for a really long time, and I don't think they're copyrighted any longer so there are plenty of variations. So it seems like you probably had a Kewpie-style doll that had "boy bits".

These are pretty standard Kewpies. If your boy had peaked hair, a similar face, and star-like hands, he was a kewpie-type doll.

The original sonny angel doll (before the sets) had little boy bits and wings. I am sure that is probably what your doll is.
