Last year I bought two vintage Picture Lions children’s books dated 1973 with no reprint date, were they first editions?
I hate getting rid of socks when they get holes, so have a pile of splendid socks I no longer wear. In a flash of sudden inspiration I thought “why not turn them into dolly clothes?”. So I did! It was surprisingly quick and easy to do, and am really pleased with the results.
Lots of dolls found during September so far, included Barbie, Berenguer (La Newborn and Lil Cuties), Bratz, Disney Princess, Enchantimals, Lalaloopsy, Lil Miss, Mine to Love, Monster High and Our Generation. I also picked up a bag of dolly clothes included Barbie, Disney Princess, Sparkle Girls, and some lovely hand knitted items.
I finally got around to making the doll dress made from a secondhand baby dress I bought back in August (for this purpose). It’s come out really well.
I had a go at repairing some chewed dolly hands this morning whilst I was boiling eggs to go with my soldiers. I achieved mixed results, but a definite improvement all round. The egg and soldiers were good too!
