A Sunday morning car boot saunter always delivers! This week’s vintage toy haul includes early 2000s McDonald’s toys (Barbie, Furby, Muppets, Clangers, Hercules, Totally Spies and Mr Men), an Imperial Officer doll from Star Wars and an 80s Thundercats figure. Not a bad follow-up to last week’s finds: a handful of children’s coloured vinyl LPs and a naked Ken doll. I also found a couple of Fugglers to add to my growing collection.

The little Barbie figures have brushed up well. The Diva Starz figure looks like someone swapped over her left blue eyelid for a green one, which doesn’t open and close. She now winks rather than blinks! The 80s Thundercats figure was an unexpected find. I have yet to identify the Ken dolls. The Star Wars “Imperial Officer” doll came wearing an Action Man “Moon Raker” outfit.
It’s been a while since I’ve found a McDonald’s Furby, and I rarely find any Care Bears or Muppets. The Clangers turn up every now and again, as do older Mr Men toys, but I’ve never come across a plush Hercules or a Totally Spies toy before. All the Happy Meal toys were from the same seller.
