Sky Dancers by Post

I recently had the opportunity to buy a large bundle of vintage Sky Dancers dolls, launchers and playsets. After much anticipation, two large boxes arrived safe and sound this morning. I have no idea where I am going to put them all!

I’d already spent some time going over the sale images and worked out there were eleven launchers with dolls, three launchers without dolls, five loose dolls and two playsets with dolls. Several different series lines were included, as well as one McDonald’s toy and one knockoff “Fantasy Flyers: Celestial Princess” by Lanard. It’s quite possible that once I go back over the dolls to pair with their launchers I’ll discover I was wrong about some. There were certainly a couple I couldn’t place with absolute certainty.

  • Animated Adventures (launcher only)
  • Fairy Flyers (three launchers with dolls, and two loose dolls (one of which I have a launcher for))
  • Magic Rolling (one launcher with doll and one launcher without doll)
  • Original (two launchers with dolls, two launchers without dolls, and two loose dolls)
  • Pretty Lights (three launchers with dolls, and one loose doll)
  • Rainbow Ribbons (two launchers with dolls)

The two Starcastles with Stardancers playsets came with most of their accessories:

  • By The Sea Starcastle (missing the wand and mermaid outfit)
  • Cinderella Starcastle with box and instructions (missing the pumpkin)

The dolls need a little TLC to get their hair back in order and some have a few paint rubs to their wing symbols, but otherwise, everything is in great shape. The launchers are in good form too, with only the moon suffering from browning to the pink plastic.

The two playsets have most of their accessories, and the Cinderella set came with its original box and instruction leaflets.
