Unproduced

The 1992 Kenner toy catalogue featured one new set of dolls, two new playset and an new accessory, non of which made it into production.

Unproduced Dolls

There was one set of dolls advertised as "new" in the 1992 Kenner toy catalogue, but I've never seen them packaged or loose so suspect they never have reached the shops (or had such a small run none have surfaced yet). If you know otherwise please contact me.

Gumball Girls

"A wonderful surprise inside these gumball machines! It's the party loving Gumball Girls! These bubbly beauties are always ready for a party with their fancy, full skirts and pretty flowing hair. Each doll has its own unique candy scent, removable double-layered dress, barrette with accent hairpiece and comb."

Unproduced Playsets

There was also a couple of unproduced playsets.

Cupcake Cottage 

"The Cupcake Cottage is a special 5 room house for the Cupcake Dolls. It has a kitchen and living/dining room on the first floor - bathroom and bedroom on the second and a playroom in the attic. The unfurnished house comes with several label sheets. The furnished cottage includes both the Banana Split Bedroom and the Cake/Ice Cream Kitchen Furniture Playsets, with all of their accessory pieces."

The Cottage playset was never produced further than marketing purposes. It was made in the Strawberry Shortcake's Berry Happy House mould, decorated slightly differently.

Ice Cream Birthday Party

Unproduced Accessories

There was one one accessory advertised as "new" in the 1992 Kenner toy catalogue, but I've never seen it packaged or loose (which would be almost impossible to identify as none of the pieces appear to have Cupcakes  written or pictured on them). I suspect it never have reached the shops, or had such a small run none have surfaced yet. If you know otherwise please contact me.

Easy Bake Cupcakes Bake Set

"Now Easy-Bake gives girls the fun of the Cupcakes license with their very own Cupcakes Bake Set!"

The set would have included:

• Decorative Platter
• Baking Pan
• Mixing Bowl
• Spoon
• 12 Cupcake Liners
• Cake Mix, Frosting, Icing and Sprinkles
