These adverts for Galey & Lord are all from Sports Illustrated, with clothes aimed specifically towards that audience. The quarter-page, black and white illustrations were mainly created by artist Al Moore.

Galey & Lord were a division of Burlington Industries, creating fabrics for the clothing industry.

1960


1961

The logo took on a more hand-written look in 1961.


1962


1963


1964

A new font was used for the logo towards the end of the year, but swiftly reverted back the following.


1965

Ads all had a full black frame from 1965.


1966


1967

The full black frame became flowed into an enlarged logo towards the end of 1967.


1968


1969

The ads became long half-page sized towards the end of the year.
