Sea Wees :: Bubble Ballet

"Beautiful mermaids love to play in or out of water!"

Sea Wees were produced by Kenner from 1979-85. They were a series of 4 inch plastic mermaid dolls with 2 inch babies made for playing with in the bath.  Each doll came with a flat sponge with one, two or three wholes in it which the dolls could fit into in order to float.

Bubble Ballet [1985]

"This year the curtain goes up on another fun-filled collection of Sea Wees dolls to delight every little girl who ever dreamed of becoming a ballerina! Each beautiful Bubble Ballet doll can be posed on her comb stand, dressed in her pretty net tutu, and float in her soft scalloped sponge. Their long, curly hair was made for combing and styling. And each cute baby floats in a baby-sized sponge alongside. Watch them dance thier way into little girls' heart, in or out of water!"

There were four sets in the Bubble Ballet series, which included mother and baby. Each one came with a comb and two tu-tu shaped sponges.
