Random and Fun Non-Mattel Fashions/Dolls/Playsets [PIC HEAVY!!!]
« on: Wednesday 10 November 2010, 10:32 pm »
I just thought I'd start a thread where I post non-Mattel Barbie-sized fashions, playsets, and dolls that I spot on eBay by various makers. Who knows... you might recognize something! (I neglect Barbie only because there are many sources to consult for information and this is where I'll show some love for the fakies and off-brands!)

PREPARE FOR THE RANDOM! (I'm posting all the photos here so you don't have to visit every single auction).

First up! Meritus!

Next: Some Multi-Toys Corp. Fashions!

Wow... (1988). Also, look at the "bird" that come with the lion outfit. Just like the accessories that came with the Carrousel Little Beauties!

Okay, I know that Sindy is a major brand but I don't think we had them where I lived. And these looked fun. :)

I remember a lot of those lingerie dolls and sets as a kid. My mom and I use to laugh at them in the store. I think I had a few doll lingerie sets.

Those Power Ranger dolls looked nothing like the actresses on the show especially the Kimberly doll. The doll's hair was long and curly.

I have a request would you please post some Lucky sets?

haha! That Twister Sindy set is neat. Closet Secrets... What, pray tell does that mean!? XD
But seriously, WHAT was with all the lacy lingerie?
These are all from my personal collection:
Speaking of lingerie This tail is just a layer of lace. A little revealing if you ask me... Mer-lingerie!

Now look at the middle, right outfit. Another lace mermaid tail! This one at last includes a bra and panties..

And now for some others that aren't so lacy or lingerie-y..

And these last two.. I bought them in a lot to get the fashion in the first picture.. I'm looking to get rid of them if anyone is interested..

Yeah, it always amazes me when people go off on how dolls now are "so slutty", but I clearly remember Barbie and a few other dolls having quite a bit of bedroom wear that was quite similar to the stuff I used to sneak peaks at in the catalogs my parents hid in their closet.  *shifty eyes*

I remember those Imperial Home Appliances!   Though I think the ones we had were sold separately.

The matchbox space suit thing looks like the outfit the aliens and their supporters wore in the original V mini-series (can't say if they wore them in the recent one because I've not seen it)

I like the licensed fashions and the broadway 'cats' fashions!

We have a Sindy toilet. Sindy toilet is not so bad as new barbie/kelly potty training toilet where you can change the picture of the water to be of water... or not water depending on if kelly has gone. Because my sister and I were dumb as kids (possibly still are) we would sometimes put a cocoa pop in the sindy toilet as a barbie poo!

I have a Sindy - the crimpy hair one. I like her. I like the vintage ones too. I think they're being made again (or were being made recently) by Vivid imaginations.

The Fashion Corner brand is made by Lucky. Their logo is a rabbit.

Here are some scans.

A Betty Boop doll.

Horse riding sisters from a TRU ad.

Bikers

Looks like a mix of Stacie and Littlest Pet Shop.
