Party Favors

What were some of your favorite party favors to give and receive when you were a kid?

I really liked plastic bubbles:


Typically it was a thick colored goop that you could gather on the end of a straw and blow.  The "balloons" were basically just extra durable bubbles since they weren't made of soap.  Fun!

Well we never got these as party favours because they're pretty expensive over here (I think they were about $7 or more?) and I've only ever seen them in one shop. Sometimes in the shop they had demonstrations of these where a staff member would blow them upand give them out to kids and seeing how cool they were was pretty good incentive to buy some! It's extremely rare for us to give a toy in a party bag. Moslty it's lollies and then maybe a balloon and one of those blower things.

Those wrist coin purse things, notepads, those little linkable hearts and stars, pencils, bubbles and whistles.

I remember these being in every goodie bag ever, and also as a prize at every arcade ever.



And I was obsessed with those little poppers that were like a rubber ball cut in half:




I always really wanted those plastic bubbles, but the one time I got them and my grandmother took it away and threw it out because she thought they were really toxic. I was never allowed to buy them again.

I went though my collections and found some of those braclets shown here. I have no idea why they were with my other toys.

Yes, I would get so many when I was little from birthday parties and things that they were in every toy box. I still run into them in the basement. They also made rings of them.
