So when I was little I had this doll. she was large, around lil miss sized, maybe larger. [soft bodied too, with a hard plastic head] she had long [not rooted yarn like rainbow brite] blue hair with red streaks, maybe other colors. I know she was somehow related to rainbows. Later on the made smaller versions of her and her friends. the smaller ones had soft bodies and a hard plastic head, with longer hair than the large ones. One of her friends had red [maybe brown hair] with streaks of an unknown color, and had bangs I think.

She was made around the same time as that large doll with the fluttering eyelids?
If someone could identify her I would love it.

Edit: rainbow brite dolls from 1997!<33

Nope, thats not her. I think she might have had a ribbon in her hair,I remember getting mad because I couldn't make it into a bow again.
She had like, rainbow hair but most of it was blue. Ugh,Finding this girl is such a pain!

I have no idea but I am really curious to find out since I love rainbows.
What year did you get this doll?
Where did you live at the time?
Was their a TV show?

You'll find that the "failed" toy lines don't show up on eBay much. ;) I don't think I even remember seeing that incarnation of Rainbow Brite released in stores?

This just made me remember seeing these in Hills, an old department store that's long gone from this area now. I looked at Indigo and went "That's not my Indigo!" But looking at them now, they're pretty cute.

I had the small Rainbow Brite. Of course I was extremely excited as a kid because it was new Rainbow Brite! Now, I like them.. but they don't really seem like Rainbow Brite to me. They're too different and don't relate to the old RB at all. I love their hair especially.

I remember seeing these awhile back and thinking "What an odd fakie" before I realized it was really licensed Rainbow Brite! (since I figured someone might have briefly gotten away with using the Rainbow Brite name for their dolls).

Something about the mid-90s MLP and the mid-90s Rainbow Brite line (especially the packaging) is underwhelming for me. The packaging design and art almost looks on par with some of the better off-brand stuff out today.

Of course, this is my late 80s to early 90s kid bias showing. ;)
