[ID: Baby Alive "Baby Slip and Slurp"] 1995 Hasbro doll
« on: Friday 12 August 2011, 06:08 pm »
:D I am trying to figure out the name of a doll that I have had since I was a child. (There are two of them on ebay right now, but I don't know if it's okay to link to their pictures, and they don't know the name of this doll, either.)

She is about 14" long. Her whole body is the "feel real" hard rubber material. She is a feed a wet doll and her markings are between her legs (rather than the back of her neck) - 1995 Hasbro Inc. She has short curly blonde hair that his set in pigtails. She has short blonde curls all around her face. Her eyes are blue. She has large purplish pink lips that are open. She came with a plastic bib that is white, mostly circular, had three hearts down the front (I guess to look like buttons??), a scalloped edge, and collar all drawn in the same purplish pink color as her lips. She also came with a thin teal diaper that held something to catch the "pee." (We always just put a folded-up paper towel in there, but I'm guessing there was actually refills that you could buy. There were special flaps, though, to hold the paper towel or whatever in place.)

I'd appreciate any help identifying her. I've searched online for many hours. :)

Yeah, that seems to be the answer, but I don't remember anything about pushing her tummy to make her kiss or any of that and either does my mama. I mean it's absolutely possible that is her, but I don't think it is. I can't find any information about any kissy doll from the 90s other than those few people who are selling her and none of them are in the original clothes or anything. :( I have found a kissy doll that was made by Ideal in the 60s, though...

These two dolls look a lot like the one I'm trying to identify, and I always sort of thought that she was a Baby Alive. They have the same hair, and her bib seems similar...

Ahh, okay. Thought this may be the one because it had said something about scented lips and the Angel one sort of looks like the doll that I have. ;)

I went onto the Hasbro site and "chatted" with someone there.

HIM: Thank you for waiting. I believe the doll is from our Baby Alive line. However this particular doll has been out of production for several years.
ME: See, that's what I thought - that it was baby alive, but every picture of her I've found, she's only referred to as hasbro 1995 drink and wet doll
HIM: Some of our dolls are revised and the names change when re-released.
HIM: This looks like one of the first Baby Alive dolls that were released
