Vegetable Boardgame & Counting Game [Sep 2008]
« on: Sunday 07 March 2010, 06:14 pm »
Patty emailed me these two game descriptions:

1:"My brothers and sister and I used to play a board game in the 80's that I've been trying to identify for years now! We don't have the game anymore and I never had any pictures of it. The game had little plastic pieces. There were orange pumpkins, green heads of lettuce, and corn. I can't remember if there were any other game pieces, or what they might have been. I think the purpose of the game may have been to collect all the veggie pieces like the pumpkin etc. I kind of remember there being a skunk in the game who was after the veggie pieces. So I think you had to collect as many as you could before the skunk got them first. The name of the game, or the theme of the game might have had something to do with a farm."

  • Not Harvest Time
  • Not The Adventures of Harley

2:"My siblings and I used to have a counting game when we were kids back in the 80's. It was a plastic bowl (I think it was light green coloured). The plastic bowl was set down upside down so the bottom was face up. The bowl also had several holes in it I think. Then there were plastic cones with flat tops that were numbered and fit right onto your fingers. There were yellow ones, green ones, orange ones, etc. I remember my siblings and I putting one on each finger on each hand. The cones with flat tops fit right into the holes in the upside down bowl.

Thank you very much for your time! It is very much appreciated!"

#1 sounds familiar. I swear that I've seen that at the flea market before... but I don't remember what it was called!
