The only marking it has says 'BATTLEBAL?L PPG 1994 MADE IN CHINA' and I cannot find any informatio?n on these at all. It is made from a tough vinyl-like plastic, hollow inside, but quite hard to press.

The second one looks familiar... I believe that there were several different designs of those. Is there an air-hole on the bottom??

Nope, no air hole, completely sealed up. It's quite a hard ball (but it's hollow and very lightweight) but if someone were to peg this ball at you, it would definitely hurt!

I have definitely seen the battleball before. I will see what I can find on them.

I had a red or orange version of the Battleball. I'm almost 100% positive it was a fast food toy.

Edit: Yep, Subway toys. I had the red one. I remembered that band-aid and missing tooth!

Both lots were listed as being given away with the Kids' Pak in 1995. Yours looks like the same mold as the red one, so maybe just a different color variation that was available?

Check out my Vintage Littlest Pet Shop Guide!

Hey, check out Bing Rewards. I've earned several $5 Amazon gift cards using it. :)

Oh my lord! Genius! Thanks so much! You know, I had an inkling they may have been fast-food related but I had Pizza Hut in mind and then dismissed that because it had no PH markings on it and i couldn't find any info on that. Subway wasn't very big in Australia in the mid-90s so it's cool to have ended up with one of these through a box of hand me downs back then! Thanks again, I can sleep at night now.
