I went into the ELC (Early Learning Centre) shop today and I came across some things I found interesting.
Firstly is these Woodland Wonders
http://www.kidscentral.com.au/elc/p-4738-woodland-wonders-teapot-cafe.aspx - they don't have all of them available on the site (though they have more on the site than I saw in the shop). They are like a cross between Teeny Weeny Families and Sylvanian Families (Calico Critters). The animals are pretty realistic looking - okay so they're pastel and cartoony but they have moulded fur and you can pretty clearly identify what is what (though to me the squirrel looks like a bit of a strange beaver). I got a pack of baby figures and they are just too cute. I don't have them with me right now otherwise I'd post a picture to demonstrate the cuteness. Other than the baby pack they also had a family pack of hedgehogs (mum, dad, 2 babies) and also smaller sets of a mum and a baby. It's just occured to me they also remind me of those takara animal families of which I cannot remember the name. Someone will know what I'm talking about :p Oh and they also remind me of the MLP Li'l Litters - the babies. They made of a plasticy material, somewhat realistic and pastle coloured. See the resemblance (If you don't - just agree with me anyway, it'll be easier that way!)
Other than that they've got some new dolls that are a bit like fakie SSC called Rosies World.
http://www.kidscentral.com.au/elc/p-6551-rosies-world-evies-trike-and-trailer.aspx note the large roundish head and the pet.
Anyway that was my new discoveries for today which I thought I'd share. You all need to get woodland wonders, seriously.
