Most of the information on them seems to be French, which is very interesting.  I wonder how we got ahold of the little guy.  It looks like it's not going to be easy to get a replacement.

I thought about Kinder as soon as I saw your photo but I was not sure at 100 %...  So I ask my husband about what he thought about it and he said : Kinder. 
My sister was on line and I asked her too and she answered : Kinder ! 

I knew the "AlexKinder" site so it was easy to search and find it !

Oh my goodness, that's right!  One of the things my sister and I remembered about the elephant was its smell... which I now remember/realize is vinyl blended with chocolate!
