Here are a bunch of toy cats that I have. I don't need them identified; I thought perhaps some of you would like to see them for future reference. Perhaps this post can be moved to the ID'd section?
http://twitpic.com/civ9s1These are the cats:
The sleeping white one is a Tiger Electronics/Hasbro Fur Real Friends cat from 2002. It is battery-operated and heavy and solid enough to feel like a real cat.
The gray striped stuffed toy by Ty is A1E Cat, which I purchased at a Hallmark store in the 1990s. A1E is not a Beanie Baby; he's too big.
The similar brown striped stuffed toy is a Soft Classics cat sold at Toys R Us. It is a competitor to the bigger cats by Ty, but the fur is not as soft.
The little black cat with the jeweled collar is named Licorice and was sold as a separate accessory by American Girl in 2003. Her fur is synthetic and not very soft. Her tail moves.
The remainder of the cats aren't really toys. They are wood covered with rabbit fur. They were made in China in the early 2000s and were made with rabbit fur. None of them have companies listed on them. None of them are named, but I call the one on the far left "Owl". I don't know if they are still made. I know I shouldn't have purchased them because of the rabbit fur and where they were manufactured, but I couldn't resist them. But I haven't bought any more in years.
