Barbie-size doll, possible Barbie clone?

Same size as a Barbie doll, but has no markings dating her or giving a brand. The only mark she has is on the back of her head (show in the last picture there), but all that says is "Made In China." She was a garage sale find, so I don't have her original clothing nor do I know the original length of her hair, as I wasn't the one who cut it.

She came into my possession in the early 2000s, but she was clearly very roughed up when I got her, so either she's had a hard-knock life or she's been around for a lot longer than I've had her.

Probably the most interesting thing about her is that she has the same diagonal waist rotation as a "Twist n Turn" Barbie. Also, her arms do not bend, but her legs are rubber over vinyl, with the knees pure rubber, so they can bend any way you want.

She was my favorite doll as a kid and to this day I really love her face sculpt, so I'd love to get a higher quality version of her or another from the same line. Problem is, I have no idea what line she's from. Can anyone help me out here?

Quick update!

I think this might be a doll from the same line, if that helps any (no info on this doll, either, just a picture I found from looking on Google all day). Maybe someone will recognize this one?

You may try the "flower princess" line.  This is a Barbie knock-off that had multiple incarnations, with variations of hair color, face mold, clothing, and even possibly multiple generations over multiple years.

I say this because I had one as a girl in the early 1980s, and she was my favorite doll.  The doll you are asking about has a similar face shape, and the exact same very distinctive waist rotation style as the one I had.

Another tell for this line is that if you pull her head off, the headless neck has a round ball on which the head was rotating.

I think you might be right! The neck does in fact have the round ball. Thank you so much!
