All I can say is that I've seen her on Flickr too and she has a water baby type body. So you fill her body up with water.

I would guess something in the Lauer Waterbabies line but I can't find anything about a mermaid.
(They have a baby that wears an Ariel tail, though, haha).

Zap is correct, that is an official Water Baby mermaid. I had her. However, the doll in question is very different so I don't think she's connected.. or maybe she's like a knock off..

So I'm pretty sure I had this doll now. I remembered having a larger mermaid and I thought it must have been a Little Miss Mermaid, but it was one like this.

So basically, now I have to drive myself crazy trying to ID her. lol.

"1991 Mermaid Doll with pretty pink and blue colors and beautiful long blonde hair.  Her arms move.  She is approximately 15" long and has a blue 1.5" sea shell shaped plug on her back that opens up.  I don't know what this opening is for. She is a soft plastic."

So from the auction we can see that she is from 1991, by A and R Toys, and about 15"
