Tomy battery operated toy/ 1989 /sits in palm of your hand and makes sounds

hello everyone!  I was wondering if some kind person could help identify the name of this toy i've had many years now:



as you see he is a tomy toy, dated 1989 , and will take batteries. He is supposed to make noises when placed in the palm of your hand (but mine has not worked for a long time).  I know for sure there were others in this line because i used to have a bird that cheeped too!
