Unknown Plastic Standing Pony w/ Jewel(?)
« on: Tuesday 04 May 2010, 08:01 pm »

This is an image I found in one of my folders of old saved pics. I may have known what it was at one time, but I sure don't now!

Sorry, the picture is all I have. Date and brand are unknown.

Looking at the eyes and bandana, I wonder if it's somehow related to those unknown flocked farm animals that were posted recently?

UPDATE: Looking through old threads earlier, I found out that it belongs to Joce on the MLP Arena

It looks like those flocked farm animals indead, and it's also kind of Darling Dino-ish! Don't have any info on it though, sorry.

Wow, that's an interesting-looking horse.  I've never seen it before, but agree that it definitely looks like it's related to the flocked animals and/or Darling Dinos.  Hope someone is able to shed more light on what it is.

Yeah, totally like the Darlin' Dinos! I bet this is a Barndazzler.

ETA: I forgot the flocked ones had jewels, too. Well, Darlin' Dinos were certainly varied in types, so both this horse and the flocked crew could be Barndazzlers. The jewel use just makes me think that's gotta be it.

Well, I wonder if it says M.I.I. anywhere on it. I imagine you wouldn't see that on the flocked ones, though.

Yeah, it could be covered by the flocking, which would explain why they appear unmarked. *crosses fingers for more info*

So the horse-related Meritus trademarks are "Fancy Ponies" (1997) "Lucky Ponies" (1997) and "Showtime Horses" (1999). I'm pretty sure Showtime horses were more realistic model horses? I feel like I've seen those around. Nothing came up on Google about the other two. And of course, it could be from a line of farm animals and not a line of horses.

I've contacted Jose and the person that spoke of a backcard. I wonder if I'll hear from either of them...

 :o

Any ideas what size this one is?  I'm guessing large, like the dressable Darlin Dinos... because it is wearing boots.

And nothing else.  Eep!

It actually looks small. If you click the link to where it was originally posted, you can see it mixed in with a bunch of toys.

Here's that pic, it's above the peachy-colored baby pony:

I somehow don't think it was wearing clothes because they would cover up the jewel. A skirt, maybe, but not a top.

it could have had an opening like the clothes for treasure trolls.
Always looking for my little ponies!

it looks more like a hippopotamus than a pony. The hands are not solid horse hooves.
Are there charmin' zoo friends?
