Ever had an OMG I forgot I had that moment? And what would you do?
« on: Thursday 01 July 2010, 02:24 am »
Ok, so I went into our local collectibles shop to look at some ponys my husband told me he saw there. Unfortunatly, the ponies where overpriced and weren't any of the ones I'm interested in. (I'm only really interested in the ones I use to have) Anyway, I walked into the back room and was looking at some books and plush. And I saw this red bookbag/satchel,backpack which had care bears on it. I thought "OMG I think I had that" I immediatly put down the book I was looking through and walked to the other side. I took it off the wall it was hanging on. As soon as I touched it I knew  It was or was similar to the one I had. i remebered how that fabric felt and everything. Odd? Anyway, it's priced at $8 now, I probably would have bought it but it had a little girls name written across it. I wish the name was on the inside and not on the out but it's there in black written across the line of music on the bag. Another, reason is since soo much is over priced there (I mean ridicoulously so like a shortcake stove beat to a pulp for $30!)

I'm just courious has anyone else had one of those moments? Would you have bought the bag?

I don't know if I've ever felt that way about a bag, but I do feel that way when I drive past the house I lived in as a kid. It can be seen from a freeway. It makes me think about the big pine tree in the front and the blackberry bush on the side.

I possibly would have bought the bag, but you are right $8 is a little much.

Definitely too much but I know what you mean when you find something like that, you feel you have to buy it for the simple fact you can't believe it's there in the first place!

I agree with lucy I probably would have bought it because it gave me that nostalgic feeling and I would have felt like...I will never see/find this again and I would have regretted not getting it if I left it.

I get that feeling a lot if I find something I need to complete a collection I usually get  it because it will be gone the next time I am there.

the way I see it anything can be upgraded at a later point when  you come across one somewhere in better condition.
