Calling all Anime lovers!
« on: Saturday 03 July 2010, 10:21 pm »
Not sure if this is the right place to put this but here it goes.

My husband and I are huge movie/cartoon buffs. We are a couple of big kids. :P
That said, we would like suggestions on what anime to buy. There is soo much out there and we don't know what to pick.

We like Lupin the third, Full Metal Alcamyst, Cowboy Bebop and of course Miazaki's Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totora, Laputa castle in the sky, Princess Monoke, Kiki's Delivery Service, Howls Moving Castle. Oh and we've played Inuyasha out.

Any suggestions?

We actually own The Castle of Cagliostro.  Many Thanks! Keep them comming please. I will write them all down and go through the list with my husband. Plus might be a good thread to keep open for others who are looking for good anime as well. :)

Yeah Pom Poko has the raccoons.  You said you like Lupin have you seen the 1st series (green coat)? I just started watching the 3rd series (pink coat) 2 days ago I can't say I recommend it yet.

Sorry to be a nitpicker but Pom Poko is actually about tanuki Japanese raccoon dogs so easy mistake to make.

My recommendations are

Ginga Nagareboshi Gin (you might have to stream this on veoh)
Tenchi Muyo
.hack//sign
Hamtaro
