[1 of 2 ID-ed] Birthday Party Set and Pool Set
« on: Saturday 10 July 2010, 01:25 pm »
Hi, I'm looking for info on these Barbie-sized playsets:

ID: Barbie "Partytime" produced 1990
The first is a birthday party set, which had a white table top with pink base and a pink tablecloth, it also came with balloons on a balloon stand, present gift boxes, little card party hats and a champagne bottle in a bucket on a stand.
This was a brilliant playset!

The next is a pool playset. It had an inflatable pool with white steps for getting in and out, white plastic sun loungers and chairs, plus lots of accessories, including these fast food items:

They have 'Rich and Famous' written on them.

These playsets were great, and I'd love more info!

many thanks xxx

Was it this Barbie Playset? Not exactly like what you described but fairly close. I had this one! Mine was bought in around 1990.

There are two different versions. Mine had the accessories in the first version pictured.

YES!!!!!

That's it!!!! The first one - thank you so much!!!!

You know, I had no idea it was a Barbie playset, as nowhere on any of the items does it say Barbie or Mattel (I assumed it was a fakie!)

Thank you so much for solving the mystery xxxxxxxxxxxxxx  :-* :-* :-* xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

You know, I had this playset and still have a lot of the pieces. My favorite part was the cake. Even having the playset (and knowing it was Barbie) it took me a while to figure out what it was!

I would have guessed this sooner but you didn't mention the cake! And there wasn't a wine bottle? :-P

I have a feeling she'd remember if it was the Barbie Dream House pool! :-X That thing is a monster. And not inflatable.

This is the company that the accessories belong to so somewhere out there is a pool playset! (It even has the same food accessories!)

Oh, It's funny to see another 'Rich and Famous' playset!

I hope someone finds the pool!

Nope, it's definitely not the Barbie pool.

Oh, I'd totally forgotten about the cake, I can barely remember it.

And I think the wine bottle, etc must have come with the Rich and Famous set, lol!
