I highly doubt that - they would then have to pay fees on the auction ending price and lose out money anyway.

As well as paying part of the listing price you have to pay a final value fee which is a percent of the total amount the auction ended for.

Yeah they will do it on ebay.co.uk as well and you will have been charged a final value fee, you probably just haven't realised. Paypal also charges a basic fee, a percent of the total cost and if there has to be a currency conversion that incurs another % fee.
