"Welcome to Cupcakeland, a magical world where fancy cakes turn into beautiful dolls! Cupcakes hide inside their wrappers 'til it's time to surprise - then out they pop!"

Cupcake Doll's were produced in the early 1990's by Kenner & Tonka. Turn the dolls plastic skirts inside out and they transform into edible goodies with their hats being the icing! They were also scented, similar to Cherry Merry Muffin and Strawberry Shortcake dolls. They each came with a handbag shaped comb. There were 6 different series made, 5 of which turned into cupcakes and 1 series turned into sundae's. There was also a slightly different series made called Jam Pops, which as far as I can tell didn't turn inside out, but pushed down inside the skirt to form a jam jar. Along with the dolls there were several playsets and accessories produced too.
Cupcakes had a small revival in 1998 when Fun Source re-issued a few of the dolls, and are now being re-issued again by Radica. The originals are therefore becoming more collectable on the second hand market.

I can't remember where I found these images, sorry!

Cotton Candy

Cotton Candy dolls had silky fur trimmed skirts, a fur scarf and swirly iced hats with three hearts on top. These are the hardest to find out of all the Cupcake dolls.
