I found a small but great selection of charity shop buys last Saturday! The Mr spotted “Grange Hill – The Album“, I found another hatless Cupcake Surprise doll, another troll head and my first Lots-a-Lots-a-Leggggggs!

Lots-a-Lots-a-Leggggggs – “Footlights”
I was SOOO pleased to find this little guy! He’s called Footlights and is one of the special character caterpillars from the original mid-eighties line by Commonwealth. He’s a little grubby in places and the label has faded, but otherwise is in good condition.

Cupcake Surprise – “Princess Sabrina”
Princess Sabrina is missing her hat, which seems to be common in charity shops now. I checked all the toy boxes, but no joy. The boxed image shows what her hat looks like.
She looks just like one of the first 12 dolls to be produced by Emco in 2015, the latest re-release of the original nineties line by Tonka/Kenner. But on second looks she is marked Haschel Toys rather than Emco like the dolls I bought new a couple of years back. As far as I can work out, they were first produced by Emco with copyright 2014, then Haschel Toys shows up as trademark owners with Emco still mentioned. I’ve also seen packaging with Emco + Blue Box + Haschel Toys on. The dolls now seem to be produced by Sunny Days, with the trademark still owned by Haschel Toys. Confusing!
