Nice finds I have not found much here in the toy department at the local thrift store. I have not seen anything vintage as well in a long time.

Yesterday I found a vintage Nickelodeon Talk Blaster phone in the box, still mostly wrapped, with all its cords. I was going to repaint it for an art project since it's a weird shape, but they seem to be going for $30 without cords, $50 with cords... so maybe I'll sell it. Or just keep it.

Hi have not found much lately. The Ronald MC Donald's house charity had a sale last week there was not much in the toy section it was pretty barren. Tons of Tomas the train stuff , Barbies, troll dolls puzzles ect The only thing vintage I found was a crystal swift wind that has turned a nice shade of yellow, and a Light up polly pocket that no longer works . I will post photos of them latter.

That's an interesting horse.

I found a bag of My Little Ponies and two fakies.  Plus a purple Tonka unicorn.  I'll pop that into the ID section. Edit:  IDed by a member:  the unicorn is a Littlest Pet Shop McDonald's toy.

In the bag:
1998 Scootaloo McDonald's toy  She's quite cute:

Year 8 G1 Raincurl
Year 8 G1 Streaky
Year 7 G1 Wild Flower (Sweetheart Sister)

The bag they were in was $3.13.

The manes and tails of the Y8 ones may have been trimmed since they seem short for ponies that have ringlets.  I'll try to restore them and probably won't set them in ringlets.  The Y7 pony is missing her earring and has a few tiny chew marks on her ear and one foot.  But, still nice.

That is crystal swift wind minus her saddle and wings. I have no idea why a lot of them turn a yellow/amber color  with age . I have another one that is still pink since I keep it out of the sun light.

It's Figment!  I'm tempted to buy the Figment ornament from the Disney Store website, but I'm waiting until their sketchbook ornament line is up (by the end of next month).

Nice finds!

Not really a thrift store find, but I went to the newspaper's annual Ultimate Yard Sale.  It's where people can buy booths (parking spaces in the newspaper's parking lot) to hold their own yard sales.  It's an annual event.  Cost $1 to go in, and the sellers pay for a "booth."  Money goes to a charity for education.

Anyway, I bought a bag of Quints.  It had:
Quints with bunting (blonde).  Complete with bottle and bunting, all five dolls present
Thirsty Quints (blonde).  Complete with bottle, bottle warmer, all five dolls, and 2-3 of the hair clips (I can't remember right now)
Drink 'n Wet Quints blonde (just the #3 girl and #5 girl)
Meal Time for Five (complete, little damage on the arm of one side, but I had this set as a kid and mine's intact)
Summer Fun fashion set (missing #3's hat and all of the shovels)
Sunshine Family baby
Barbie baby
random doll I don't recognize.

The bag was $8.

Wow! Everyone here is so lucky. I haven't had luck like that.
I was able to find a Hello Kitty beach tote from 2003. It has vivid markings on it that I can't remove, but considering the prices Hello kitty items from over ten years ago go for... I'd say I was pretty fortunate. It used to belong to a Japanese person, since the markings I can't remove are in Japanese. I love the colours of the bag, so was glad to get it.

I have seen what I think were some 'Shirt Tales' plush toys there. (Anyone know them? I knew of them as a kid) but wasn't 100% sure since I couldn't find any tags. I wasn't that interested in them since they aren't that cute. Considering the prices they go for on ebay is minimal, I don't regret leaving them. Still would've been nice to have one.

What's sad about the place I go to is that they regularly trash their goods. I don't know where they go, but I presume the dump. You can see them when they do their dumps. It sucks, but I understand why. Since they can't keep things there forever.

Speaking of restoration, I fixed up the eyes of a plush toy of mine about two months ago. I couldn't do it 100% correct  because I don't have fine hands to do the edges but the before and after is fantastic. It was just a simple idea as well.

Here we see the before. Shaun The Sheep's eyes have gotten beat up (I always take care of my plush toys, I don't know what happened) and he is full of dust.

After. Touched up with a simple sharpie! I couldn't do the edges of the eye 100%, because one mistake and it's doomed. It's permanent marker! O-O! You can see the spot on missed on the left (his right eye)
This picture does not show the fluff removed from him. Since I did that after taking this picture. I just used a vacuum cleaner at full power, it was a scary experience since his legs looked like they could get sucked off any moment! It didn't remove all the fluff, but it did an ok job! Didn't know what else to do

I like that the sharpie made the eyes look all shiny and brand new. Much better than the black stuff that was on his eyes initially!
