Rub-A-Dub Doggie ~ Large

"Two in the tub is more fun than one!"

Rub-A-Dub Doggie was produced by Ideal from 1981, then Tyco from 1989 (after they acquired Ideal). They were a series of 10 inch dogs to be played with in the bath, an off-shoot of Rub-A-Dub Dolly. There were also smaller 4 inch dogs and a playset for them.

Large Dogs ~ Ideal

There were two different coloured large dogs produced by Ideal.

They had a tag at the back of their collars which was connected to a length of string. When it was pulled the dogs head would shake from side to side just like a real, wet dog.

These two dogs are Greek.

Dogs ~ Tyco

Tyco produced four dogs using the same mould as Idea but in different colours. They also had name stickers on their collars.

There were also two dogs with brushable ears.
