An impromptu visit to the dentists last week lead to various charity shop finds. I found a Barbie “Rainbow Lights Mermaid”, three LP’s, a bottomless money bank doll, “Where The Wild Things Are”, “Pan’s Labyrinth”, and a holographic millennium party CD.
A Saturday morning trip to the wood yard last week, via the Lions charity shop (of course), paid of with this little lot! I found a large Frizzys, a Clanger, two mermaid tags, a Peko tin, a little leather kitty purse and a pink spiral thingie!
I had a small jackpot today from my charity shop rummaging. I found a lovely condition plush Keyper for 10 pence. 10p! I also bought the purple Flufflings I had my eye on a couple of weeks back, a sweet little rag story book and two paperback novels (About A Boy by Nick Horby and Dodger by Terry Pratchett).
I came back with an excellent selection of toys and books from the Lions charity shop last Saturday, including a full set of Sesame Street “On My Way” books, a Jack and Jill book from 1971, and various soft toys including a farting Grumples, a moaning Flufflings, a talking Hoobs, an accident prone Mr Men, a tiny Furby, and a baby Puppy Surprise!
Whilst out charity shopping in Westcliff last weekend we also popped into Argosy Toys where I found two Powerpuff Girls figures at half price. As soon as we returned home I ordered the third one from eBay, which swiftly turned up on Thursday.
I found an excellent mixture of items in Westcliff’s various charity shops on Saturday, including three LP’s, two annuals (Jackie & Magpie), a little Bagpus, a Lalaloopsy doll, a plush Moshi Monster, and my best find of the day, a Dolly Surprise doll from 1987!
Wednesday’s charity shop finds were and amusing mix! I found three My Little Ponies, a Forgotten Realms trilogy box set, and a well-loved Doctor Who “Dalek Sec Hybrid” mask!
I found a few little things on my way home from work Wednesday, though admittedly the plush My Little Pony isn’t that little! I also found a very played with small MLP, a Zelf, and Splash DVD.
A few little finds this week. Tuesday took me over to Rayleigh for my annual teeth scraping, where afterwards I rummaged through various charity shops little toy baskets and came away with a few cute items. Then Wednesday after work I purchased four books and three movies.
I’ve had my eye on this super cute, heart-shaped Polly Pocket bag for a while now, so decided to snap one up this week before it was too late.
An unexpected trip down the road to buy brushes for broom handles at the weekend resulted in this random selection of items from the Lions Club charity shop. I found a Palace Pets cat, a My Little Pony, a dress-up doll, a panda purse, Ghostbusters, and the craziest duvet set I have ever seen!
From time to time I pop into Smyths toy store (I know, I know, it’s so unlike me), and came across the current re-issued version of Cupcakes. I was most restrained and only bought two (the larger two dolls below). Then, I some how wound back up in Smyths earlier this year only time find miniature versions on sale too! This time I bought four. But wanted more.
I came back with an unexpected pile of eighties goodies last Saturday, mostly all from the Salvation Army charity shop in Leigh On Sea. I found three Look In magazines from 1983, three TV annuals (Super Gran, Gordon T Gopher, and Fraggle Rock), a pack of Mr Men Snap cards, and a Bros 12″ single (I Owe You Nothing).
Look what I found on my way home from work this week! Four little Care Bears plushes and a poseable character from Rainbow Brite (Shy Violet). The bears are from 2004, but the Rainbow Brite figure is an actual 1980’s toy, which I almost never find these days.
I found three items in charity shops in Rayleigh on Saturday, including a Care Bears pomander, a Once Upon A Zombie doll, and Educating Rita.
Found in the Salvation Army charity shop this afternoon on my way home from work, Subbuteo from 1991 for £3.00! Unfortunately the fabric pitch was missing, but there was a scoreboard set and pamphlet in its place. I also found an additional England team for £1.00.
I took a few items down the road to a local charity shop last weekend (some books and a green bow-tie) and came back with more than I dropped off! I found a Fisher Price plane, Waynes World 1 & 2, My Little Pony pot & Equestria Girls doll, plus a couple of CD’s.
I came back with a good selection of charity shop purchases a couple of weeks back (plus a couple of new). The haul included disco and indie music, Hello Kitty, My Little Pony, Grimm’s Fairy Tales, Strawberry Shortcake, pirates and glitter!
My most recent charity shop purchases include Mr Men, Worzel Gummidge, Culture Club and an Elvis Chatimals. Sounds like the makings of a good night out!
I came back with an excellent hoard of goodies from my local charity shop a short while back, including three records, seven books (Tony Hart and Cockleshell Bay) and two Equestria Girls dolls.
