“The shoe with the youthful feel.”

These ads for Air Step women’s shoes by Brown Shoe Company date from 1944-48. Each ad had a block colour background with usually a black shoe featured. They look like illustrations are cut-out photographs.

During latter part of 1947, a background design was added, then the background colour became white.
